We desire to offer all of our classes at each of our different cities. However, certain classes may only be available at certain locations or at specific times at a certain location. Therefore, Please check out our calendar to see what classes are available in your area. Thanks so much!

Holistic Childbirth Series
This 4 week long comprehensive class meets once a week on a weeknight and draws from a variety of traditions and methods to offer you and your birth partner a broad-range of tools and techniques. This extended series provides ample opportunity for interactive, hands-on practice. The 1st & 2nd classes focus on what happens in the body during birth and why, stages & phases of labor, what to expect in your birth setting, benefits and risks of common medical interventions, childbirth options, informed decision making, birth plans, and how to create a healthy working relationship with your care provider. The 3rd night will be completely about comfort measures and will include lots of practice with labor stations with the help of local doulas; and during the 4th night we will discuss the Essentials of Breastfeeding, Newborn Care, & Transitioning into the Post-Partum period. The main focus of this class is to prepare you physically and mentally for a safe and satisfying birthing experience. We will touch on a wide range of important topics from prenatal exercise and nutrition to newborn procedures. We want each mommy and daddy to leave feeling more Confident, Prepared, & Empowered.
Ideally this series should be completed before about 37 weeks of pregnancy, to allow time for further planning and practice based on what you’ve learned. But we don’t recommend finishing the class too early, you may forget what you’ve learned.
Weekend Intensive
This class is for those couples who can’t fit in a longer series of classes. The Weekend Intensive offers a personalized preparation condensed into a weekend format. During one Friday evening and one Saturday we will learn about stages of labor, what to expect, when to go to the hospital, benefits and risks of many different interventions and child birthing options that may be offered, how to work with your medical team to increase the likelihood of a positive birth experience, the benefit of a Doula; as well as, briefly discuss comfort measures, breastfeeding, and post-partum care.
Because we keep our classes small, we are able to provide personal attention and tailor the information to meet the needs of each individual class. Therefore, even in this intensive format, you will leave with your big questions answered, while feeling more confident and more prepared.
***PLEASE NOTE: This class is very intensive; so, we will not have time to fully practice and rehearse all of the amazing comfort measures that can be used during childbirth. We also will not completely cover breastfeeding, the postpartum period, or baby care. We strongly encourage you to add the Weekend Intensive Supplement Class. This class will focus specifically on applying and practicing Comfort Measures, Relaxation and Labor Rehearsal, the Breastfeeding Essentials, Life with Baby (adjusting during the postpartum period), and our Holistic Transitions class_Newborn Care & Baby Massage. Combining these classes will allow you to take advantage of our discount package. This will ensure that you receive adequate information on comfort measures for labor, partner support skills, and how to do this thing called birth, as well as a good preparation for what comes next: feeding and caring for your baby around the clock!***
Ideally this class should be completed between about 31 – 36 weeks of pregnancy, to allow time for further planning and practice based on what you’ve learned. When possible, please complete this class first, with the Powerful Birth and other supplemental classes following. (If it doesn’t work out that way, it’s OK.)

*****Finding Balance: Body and Baby*****
This awesome, interactive, & fun class can barely be called a class but more an experience!
Journey with us through the process of finding balance between your body and your baby by discovering the position of your baby, opening your pelvis, and creating “optimal fetal positioning”! Head down does not always mean that baby is in perfect position and breech baby during pregnancy doesn’t always mean a breech delivery; the use of simple, specific techniques can enhance and actually alter a woman’s birthing experience. Understand the movements of your baby and where he/she is! This knowledge will empower you and help you flow with your birth process, easing your birth experience.
Join us in discussion of how dance, massage, yoga, & chiropractic can help mom prepare for a quicker and more progressive childbirth; participate in baby position determination & drawing; and practice techniques that will assist your baby in descending into the birth canal with ease.
This is going to be a great event!!!
This class is designed for Mom’s that are in the last months of pregnancy; Partners are encouraged to accompany mom!
