UjalaMama was established with the desire to be part of enhancing the birthing experience for all women world-wide. Ujala means Bright in Hindi, and we believe that with bright beginnings everyone has the opportunity for bright futures. Birth is the beginning of a new life for an individual and the beginning of a new journey for a mother, her partner, and family. This is why joyous, healthy birthing experiences are so important for each and every mother, baby, and family!

UjalaMama desires to be able to serve the diverse population of mothers in the DFW area through doula support, childbirth education, awareness, and labor support training.

UjalaMama also desires to create a partnership uniting local birth/postpartum doulas, birth attendants, childbirth caregivers, and other professionals that support safe, evidence-based practices of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, breastfeeding, and parenting with their international counterparts.
UjalaMama hopes to do this by creating a global community through the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and resources and thereby being able to fulfill its Vision.
